Description

Produced by Christopher Neil, the album ranged from the hyperkinetic new wave-infused ‘Machinery’ via the smooth west coast yacht rock of ‘There When I Needed You’ to classic, Streisand-style balladry on the top 20 AC hit ‘I Wouldn’t Beg For Water.

As you would expect to find with this rare variant, the sleeve has the OVED reissue sticker over the barcode on the back, the matrix has been re-etched with the OVED number and the inner sleeve is a standard generic Virgin sleeve. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. The governing principle behind 'Theatre Of the Absurd Presents C'est La Vie', is: 'let Madness be Madness'. Its not just the record companies in the UK that Madness sign to that make appalling typos, this has to win the prize for the biggest typo ever in that the title of the sleeve itself has been misspelt! This LP reissue is pressed on 180 Gram black vinyl and features brand new liner notes by Chrissy Boy, Chas Smash and Lee Thompson.

Can't Touch Us Now is the eleventh and most recent studio album from British ska-pop legends Madness. VG+ condition, vinyl has a couple of light marks but nothing too notable, sleeve has a word written in biro top left and a date written in biro on the back. Along with the Specials, Madness were one of the leading bands of the late-'70s ska revival that swept the U. After a disparate couple of years which saw the band at their most polarised and fragmented, Madness reunited in an industrial unit in Cricklewood at the beginning of the year, where Suggs, Mark, Chrissy Boy, Mike, Lee and Woody realised that what united them was always bigger than what divided them. Had major input from Chrissy Boy who even managed to persuade the pressing plant to promote the Nutty Boys - Crunch!

For some reason it has been split across two LPs, even though it fit quite comfortably on one without stretching near to the dreaded 30 minutes a side mark (Probably about 22 mins max.Mint condition, still wrapped in the original shrink wrap but merely opened on one edge to check the colour of the vinyl. The artwork/presentation is very good, which has been a strength in general through this Let Them Eat Vinyl reissue series. Sleeve is in good presentable second hand condition vinyl has quite a few surface marks in places, the person who sold it to me said it plays fine. Remastered from the original master tapes and pressed on green coloured vinyl with refreshed artwork including new inner sleeve.
