If you’re looking for a high-quality whiskey option but haven’t been able to find the perfect selection for your preferred taste methods, both or either of these options may be optimal choices for you. Deciding on which one of these bourbon selections will meet your exact taste needs and flavor preference will require that you know everything in the blend and other variables that impact the overall quality of any whiskey option but especially these selections. In the Jim Beam line, I’d say this is halfway between the standard edition and the Double Oak. Where the standard was too sweet and the Double Oak was deliciously rich, this is a nice middle ground. Perfect for introducing first time bourbon drinkers (if there are any left). On Ice

The table below contains all postcodes on a two day service. Please note all deliveries to Northern Ireland are also on a 3-5 days service. As long as you take into consideration what your primary taste preferences are and how you prefer to drink your bourbon, you will be able to make the right decision in no time. Whatever option you choose, it’s important to remember that you should always practice safe drinking practices and always consume alcohol responsibly. Recommended Reads: Now that we’ve gone over the main flavor profile of both of these selections, it’s time to give you our take on which option is best. Our Choice Knob Creek is part of Jim Beam’s small batch bourbon series and it comes in at a respectable 60%. The main difference between Knob Creek and the standard Jim Beam offering is that the barrels are aged longer (ten years or more); they are then selected based on their flavor profile and bottled un-cut. This means that no water or sugar has been added to Knob Creek before it reaches your glass.

Offshore Island deliveries will take longer than two days including Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Scottish Highlands and Islands and Scilly Isles. Caramel and oak followed by vanilla and a robust Jim Beam spice. Citrus, dark fruit preserves and a bit more of that corn and yeast from the nose round out the palate. Knob Creek Single Barrel Reserve contains enough vanilla, wood, and nuttiness to complement the sweetness. The whiskey is a potent combination of caramel, honey, cinnamon, and allspice. The finish is long and lingering. Weller Antique 107

Our personal favorite for multiple reasons is Jim Beam White Label, but we will dive into why it is our favorite later. They must also include hints of rye and malt which is what gives the mixture that texture and flavor that we’re all familiar with. With these Jim Bean varieties in question, they contain a specially formulated stands of yeast which has been used in the production of their whiskey bourbon options since the prohibition era.

More Alternatives…

It smells sweet and delicious, without any bitterness or bite. There’s the usual players here — caramel, toffee, vanilla, and a bit of spice as well. Once fermented and distilled, the spirit is added to new charred oak barrels where it normally sits for four years before being bottled. In this case, it’s left alone for twice as long — a total of eight years prior to bottling, to allow the bourbon to absorb even more of the flavors. Tasting Notes: As you savor each sip, your palate will be greeted by the velvety embrace of smooth caramel, followed by the comforting warmth of oak notes. It's a harmonious symphony of flavors that unfold, making every moment spent with this bourbon an experience to savor.
