Precocious Crush: Takkun has had a crush on Ayako since he was a kid, but by now it's blossomed into real love. I don't mind the age gap. There are many great stories with the age gap trope. I did like how Ayako was trying to deter Takumi and how they bonded over anime. Her reactions are logical and felt realistic for the situation. I do hope there are more mother/daughter moments between Miu and Ayako, and more development between Takumi and his friend. Those scenes were great additions and hopefully they'll be expanded on. And I like that eventually Miu and Ayako had a conversation, or well ish, about it. Miu is just hoping that her mom gets someone, hoping that she finds happiness. She is happy her mom of course put aside some years for her, but now that she is 15, almost an adult, she just wants for her mom to be happy. I found that so sweet. Miu seems a bit stand-offish at times so this moment and some others made me smile. Show Within a Show: Ayako is obsessed with Love Kaiser, a Magical Girl anime series that she originally watched with Miu, but got more into it than her daughter, who lost interest as she got older. She wears a cosplay of her favorite character, Love Kaiser Solitaire, to try and convince Takkun that she's lame and he won't have fun with her, but he turns out to be a fan of the show too. The manga adaptation of the light novel: with art by Tesshin Azuma. It was serialised in Hakusensha's Manga Park and released under their Young Animal Comics imprint from May 2021.

Next is her daughter, she starts out very nice and sweet. I liked her no bs vibe, until the love triangle comes, she becomes very disrespectful to her mother, and I don't like how instead of treating her as a mother, she treats her as her rival now, even after all she's done for her. If she wants them to get together so bad, then bruh no need to force this bs. And yet people treat her like a saint when she has her own faults too. Ms. Fanservice: Ayako is beautifully drawn, and very well endowed in the breast and butt department, as we see in the bath scenes.

Head-Turning Beauty: Though she considers herself an old maid, Ayako is really this. When she reveals the swimsuit she was wearing under her parka to Takkun, the latter tells her to cover it with the parka, as he knows that were she to go around the resort they are in wearing it, she would wind up attracting the attention of every male present. The manga version of this story carefully follows the LN with, in my opinion, very faithful artwork as well. It tells the tale of Ayako Katsuragi, a capable single mom of an adopted child Miu, as Ayako struggles to come to terms with the fact that her neighbor, a boy she knew 10 years ago when he was only 10 and she 20, has feelings for her.Caught the Heart on His Sleeve: When Takkun says he'll try to stop liking Ayako, she grabs his sleeve and tearfully begs him not to.

Sexy Santa Dress: In Chapter 9, Takkun has a fever dream of Ayako wearing one, based on a childhood experience when she accidently bought one instead of a traditional Santa outfit. Breaking the Fourth Wall: In a scene early in the manga, Miu wants to have some wine, which Ayako vehemently objects to...since you can't show underage characters drinking in manga. Story is about thirty-something woman that raised her sister's daughter after her sister and sister's husband died in an accident. It is standard story - serious, gorgeous looking woman devotes her twenties to raising a kid and have a good career and thus misses on her romantic life. And when her nephew comes of age she sees her in relation with the neighbor, [as it was supposed to be otherwise] good looking early twenty member of swimming team (did I say mushy, this is so eeeeeekkk for me, its like watching those romantic soap opera TV movies :))After some alcohol came into the mix, she finds out that... Ayako has been in love with her since her was 12. tl;dr - All potential material has been written over giving you only a shallow rendition of what could but shouldn't be. When confronted with the fact that Miu was left an orphan, Ayako jumped in and took her in as her own. Now she is a single mother. 10 years later, her daughter has been friends with the next-door boy and been tutored by him too. He is in university now and Takumi has always been around the two. Ayako was sure that the two kids were meant for each other... until she began to see him in a different light Stacy's Mom: A smaller age gap than most, since Ayako was only 24 when she adopted Miu, and Takkun was 10 at the time. That's when she realizes that 'You like me(mama), not my daughter? (Roll credits). Now she must confront her own growing feelings and he asks her to respond to his confession and date her as a man. Even her daughter knows his feeling towards her mom...and encourages it! Now the two of them try and navigate the age difference and the fact that he has seen her naked in the tub when they bathed together... rom-com ensues!

From moment to moment, Ayako is pretty fun as the busty, easily-flustered type and is struggling with the realization that Takumi likes her, since she had all but married him off to Miu. Despite her niece only being 15, which sure is a position to take when she won’t entertain the reverse. Ayako tries several times to make herself look unattractive and irresponsible to Takkun, but he sees through her every time. With all of the wrongs this manga does, it should be much worse than it actually is, but the main cast of characters have a relatively wholesome/enjoyable chemistry, no matter how basic or annoying they can be at times. The experience of this manga is similar to many webcomics: There’s a solid premise and start, however, it loses its charm as the chapters move on, since the mangaka can’t help but draw out the resolution as far as possible or not having one in mind in the first place. I could write a lot more but all in all, this story falls flat. There is no depth in either the characters or the story and all potential material to provide depth has already been written over with cupcakes and rainbows. All of the interactions instead feel forced and extremely uncomfortable. The only excuse you can make for all of these flaws is... because such a relationship based on realism would be quite unhealthy and toxic otherwise. A bit Justified since she is younger and they have completely different body types with Miu being thin while Ayako's bust is impressively large Which is this story in a nutshell - kind of all over the place. It’s a great idea and does some things that I really appreciate, but it also does things that are absolutely maddening. I do like the story. I thought it was cute and fast paced but... there is one chapter I'm not sure on how to feel. It was awkward and pretty cringe and I'm kind of questioning if I want to continue because of it. My husband will be getting the next one, so who knows... Childhood Marriage Promise: Subverted. While in kindergarten, Miu made one with Takkun. By the time she is a teenager, having grown up together, she says that she simply cannot see him in a romantic way.
