With nearly 60% of Nex Cubed's portfolio of companies being led by female and minority founders, it is no secret that diversity and inclusion have been at the heart of its mission since inception. However, with the series of devastating racial injustice events last summer, Nex Cubed doubled down on its diversity and inclusion efforts by launching its HBCU Founder's Program with the goal of inspiring students and recent alumni at HBCUs in their pursuit of entrepreneurship. NeXT systems were used by professors for scientific and engineering applications, and for developing newspaper layouts using News. The games Doom, Doom II: Hell on Earth, and Quake were developed by iD Software on NeXT machines. Other games based on the Doom engine, such as Heretic and Hexen: Beyond Heretic by Raven Software, as well as Strife by Rogue Entertainment, were also developed on NeXT hardware using iD's tools.

In 1992, NeXT launched "Turbo" variants of both the NeXTcube and NeXTstation, with a 33 MHz 68040 processor and the maximum RAM capacity increased to 128 MB. NeXT sold 20,000 computers in 1992. NeXT released the NeXTdimension for the NeXTcube, a circuit board based on an Intel i860 processor, which offers 32-bit PostScript color display and video-sampling features. The original NeXT workstation was introduced in October of 1988, as a very powerful, high-end workstation designed for colleges, students, and universities. What a mythical and powerful computer!! We are proud to partner with organizations such as Nex Cubed who have a shared commitment to diversity and creating a more inclusive investment environment," said Regina Curry, Chief Diversity Officer at Franklin Templeton. "We believe the HBCU Founder's Program will play a critical role in creating equal representation and access to opportunities within the startup ecosystem." Over the last four years, Nex Cubed has established itself as a leader in early-stage innovation and acceleration, creating a global ecosystem of 3 industry-specific COEs, 77 investments, 45 partners, 50 strategic advisors, 50 investor advisors, and over 140 mentors. To date, the Nex Cubed portfolio companies have an aggregate value of half a billion dollars, and nearly 60% of the startups are led by female and minority founders. NeXT, Inc. (later NeXT Computer, Inc. and NeXT Software, Inc.) was founded in 1985 by Steve Jobs. It was based in Redwood City, California, and developed and manufactured a series of computer workstations intended for the higher-education and business markets. Jobs returned to Apple as a consultant, then later appointed as interim CEO. In 2000, Jobs took the CEO position as a permanent assignment, holding the position until his resignation on August 24, 2011; Jobs died six weeks later on October 5, 2011 from complications related to a relapsed pancreatic neuroendocrine tumour. without prejudice", which means that the lawsuit could be reinstated if Apple felt that Jobs violated the agreement, or if NeXT's products were found toIt was sold with a lot of great programs and a very powerful 400 dpi laser printer. Some technical features were a bit strange (grayscale display, no floppy drive, no hard disk), but were modified in the next generation with the NeXT Station and the NeXT Cube 040. Whilst we will do everything we can to meet the delivery times above, there may be factors outside of our control and we cannot guarantee delivery within this time frame.

Through our global innovation platform that includes Sway Ventures(VC) & Altriarch (private equity), we innovate, invest in, accelerate, and scale frontier tech companies. We accomplish this by developing Centers of Excellence (COE) around key verticals that are ripe for innovation. Each COE consists of best in class entrepreneurs, investment partners, industry experts, and government leaders. One, it's crucial to learn how to create a product or service that people will pay for, a discovery process that's realized through in-depth customer exploration. Two, don't be afraid to follow your intuition and adopt a flexible, learn-as-you-go approach…” NeXT also released later the NeXTdimension for the Cube. It is a board based on an intel860, wich offers a true 32bit Postcript color display and video sampling features. You could buy the NeXTdimension board alone or a NeXTcube upgraded with it, sometimes refered as "color Cube". Our country] was built around the fact that we have a lot of different people who are contributing to that overarching success from all over the globe that are here now, and our ability to maximize that diversity is what made us successful,” Evans said. “The fact that we have access to this diverse talent really should be our secret weapon to really make an impact in the world through some of the innovation that’s coming out of the U.S.” Called NeXTSTEP, it was built upon the Mach UNIX kernel, an already existing, text-based, multitasking operating system, known for being very powerful but difficult to use.

Notice that the architecture of this computer (68030, 68882 & DSP 56001) is the same setup used in the Atari Falcon which was presented (a bit late) in 1992! NeXT released much of the NeXTSTEP system as a programming environment standard called OpenStep. It marketed OPENSTEP for Mach, its own OpenStep implementation, for several original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
